After a lot of research, I purchased this popular Jon Renau Essentially You 700 topper in the Shaded Praline 12FS8 color in early 2020 to wear while I stopped coloring my hair so I didn’t have the dreaded root lines as my hair grew out. I wore it for two partial days and then the pandemic hit. While we were in lockdown I didn’t wear it at all, my hair grew out and I no longer needed it. When you buy new a topper you need to go to a professional hairdresser to get it thinned and trimmed to your liking. It comes really full and un-styled so each individual can have it custom thinned and trimmed to fit their hair fullness and style preferences. I had one “conservative” thinning & trim done on this topper — a small/conservative amount in the front only. I planned to go back for a little more thinning but that was no longer necessary, so there is a good amount of hair on this topper for you to thin or not. There’s a good chance you may not have to do anything but clip it on and wear it. Not having to pay a professional to thin and shape a new topper is another big savings you’ll benefit from by purchasing this barely used topper vs a new one. You will also get the stand, comb and brush that were an additional purchase. It can be styled to your liking by applying heat from a hair blower and it will stay this way until it’s styled again because it’s synthetic (unlike real hair that needs to be styled more often like your own natural hair). Watch some YouTube videos for more information on styling and the benefits of synthetic toppers. This topper looks like natural hair. Synthetic hair when new is a little shiny. With washings it loses the higher than wanted shine. In the meantime spraying it with dry shampoo helps tone it down. I learned all this from the sales representative where I made the purchase. I love this color (Shaded Praline) with the darker roots and blend of multiple colors vs a solid color. It’s amazing how it blends with many shades of blond hair. This topper is in MINT like new condition. It’s clean — no damage. This Shaded Praline topper retails for $243.00. If you google the price of this topper make sure you are looking at the price of the SHADED PRALINE, not one of their less popular colors. In the outdoor pic my natural hair is a little longer than it is in the indoor pic. The topper is the same (same length, same everything) in both.
