CANON AE-1 35mm SLR Film Camera w/1.8 50mm Lens Refurbished Body 30-Day Warranty #4202483 For your consideration is a vintage ‘AE-1’ Model 35mm SLR Film Camera, by CANON, Made in Japan. SN: 4202483. This film camera uses 35mm film and accepts the CANON ‘FD’ bayonet mount manual focus SLR lenses. This camera is very clean and in very good cosmetic condition overall with light wear noted. There are superficial friction rubs on the lower base plate and a couple of light scratches on the upper plate noted. Battery compartment is corrosion free and battery type is (1x) ‘4LR44 6V’ or equivalent and battery is not included.The camera body was recently refurbished by a professional film camera repair shop. The following was performed:*Complete CLA (Cleaning, Lubrication & Adjustment) and Overhaul of Camera*Shutter Unit Lubricated and Adjusted*Cleaned Release Magnet*Shutter Run-Time and Speed Adjustment Calibration*Lubricated Winding Mechanism*Light Meter Calibrated to Recommended Factory Specifications*Exposure Adjusted*Replacement of Mirror Cushion and Door Light Seal*Viewfinder and Prism Cleaned*Interior and Exterior Cleaning Film was threaded and manually wound through the camera with a dry-check run of all functions. No film was processed. There is no squeak that is typical with this model.Lens is an ‘FD’ model f/1.8 50mm prime, Made in Japan. SN: 2992001. Lens barrel is in excellent condition cosmetically with bright paint and numbering. Lens glass is clean. No haze, fog, fungus or scratches are present. Aperture appears to function normally with distinct stops. No oil on 6-blades. Blades are fast and snappy. Focus is smooth. Lens filter size is 52mm. The original Canon outer lens cap is included.Also included is the original nylon neck strap with rubber nameplate pad in good used condition.Finally included is the original Canon 2-Part Instruction Manuals both in good used condition. This is a fine 35mm SLR film camera that makes a great choice for the vintage enthusiast or student of photography.If you are serious about film photography, this is a wonderful camera for years of reliable service.
